Thanks ShelleyT and Future Boy , hotel was good. We'll likely stay there again. Depends what comes up with DH's offers but we also have a whopping 10% off next stay--it's somethang, though. ...that 10% could amount to the cost of a blinkie cup. Just saying.

Here's my newbie question for today. We've only stayed in Kissimee and Davenport - close enough to see remnants of fireworks at Disney but not really hear them, maybe faint pops. We've said each time we see them that it must be extremely loud and annoying to residents who live close by. When you guys stay at Universal or close by, how noisy is it at night from the fireworks, rides, music, etc? (Late April/early May) I'm looking at places around SeaWorld and checking out UOR, but if it's noisy enough to disrupt sleep, say after 9/10 pm, we might have to stay at the usual places we did before. We try to get the boys in bed by 830/9ish. I don't think the noise is too bad. We've stayed at Hard Rock which is the closest to the parks, and I don't honestly remember hearing any theme park noise. Probably the noise in the hallway is worse than what might come from the parks.

At CBBR the first year I could hear music from the pool area but that's about it.

We always stay at the Hard Rock and have never heard a peep from the parks. No ambient room noise either.
