Has any one listened to the podcast from that "other site"  this week? I saw mention of some possible delays with the opening of Kong but don't have the energy to listen to the whole thing to find out what that's all about. |

Managed an odd I at start, too long, too repetitive. Chuck mentioned in the good morning about a delay in opening. |

One of my fondest memories from childhood was watching King Kong, Godzilla, the Bowery Boys, all on a Saturday afternoon! I bought the original king kong to show my kids years ago and I didn't remember how violent it was! Kong just smashing/stomping humans into the ground (they deserved it for trying to snatch him), ripping open dinosaurs heads! All in black and white, thankfully! |

In preparation for our trip in July, we rented a couple of movies from the library. Transformers (I've never seen it  ), Twister (even though it's gone now DS wanted to see it), and the original King Kong. I haven't watched it since I was a kid and was pretty surprised by the blatant misogyny in the film. Unapologetic, women are only good for looking pretty, 1930's misogyny. If nothing else, it was a good teaching moment for DS. |
