M and I were watching a food review a couple of weeks ago, they have some Asian offerings in there so we would like to try it eventually. Anyone here have reviews from there? Scanning over the blog page and they have upstairs reserved for AP holders along with Lombard's, unitl June 30th, that's pretty cool.
That Lemon chicken soy wrap sounds great, minus the peanuts. Pickled daikon is great! Water chestnuts!
I'm a sucker for these UOAP cups, too. Don't need/have room for another but. I miss the handles, too, have to find a substitute for that. I have the old one from our first cup so still using that.

Merry McSparkles Grimes I love Confisco's but I haven't been there in awhile. I've enjoyed every meal in there and the atmosphere is comfy and the air con is great. Amy and Darren turned me onto the place and I couldn't believe I'd never been in there before. I haven't tried the newest menu items, but I bet they're good. Also, dying to go upstairs.
Going to give it a go next visit. Seems to be one of the less popular places also so should be a nice quiet atmosphere (guessing).
You are exactly right - anytime I've been there we've practically had the place to ourselves. I really wish I could get there while they're allowing upstairs dining
Funny you mention this place Merry McSparkles Grimes, we were just talking about it. Once of my absolute favorite dishes anywhere is tuna poke nachos. They have them at a restaurant not far from us. Well I just saw that Confisco's has the same dish! I have never eaten there but I will definitely be trying it out next time. I have had the Sangria from the backwater bar and that was awesome.

Cathleen It's a festive sort of atmosphere, not fancy, but it's really roomy and I have always found the food to be good and the air con to be just the thing needed:-) They've had some menu changes recently too. I just hope we can still go upstairs by the time I get there for HHN
Until September 2019, I'd only ever walked past Confiscos. But on last trip tried for first time and was impressed!
I had Trader Buffalo Wings to start, then the Ribs. Both really good, but the Sweet & Sour Ribs were especially nice!
The theming in the restaurant is great too, with some cool references to the story of Port of Entry/Islands in general.
Same with me, Matt. I always walked right by it - until Amy and Darren turned me on to it. I forgot about that theming. If you look up when you first enter, I think they have a piece from each island hanging around up there

It was a very long wait getting into any of the restaurants, managed to get in by Neecie's suggestion of Nextable. Had an 8:30 reservation on Sunday. M had Pad Thai and said it was okay and I had the Udon bowl with chicken. Chicken was a bit tough, the bok choy was nearly whole but the ginger miso was good, despite being slightly spicy for me (I do not do spice/heat well at all). Not bad but likely wouldn't get it again. A few other things on the menu still sound good.
It is madness but it is glorious madness!Michael O' Rahilly

Merry McSparkles Grimes - eas it the worst crowds you've ever seen? I keep hearing horror stories and then ithers say normal summer crowds. I think Uni has a bunch of Disney folks hopping over
Only ever been to Backwater bar with Chuck, sat and ate nachos at the bar. Food was pretty good.
It is one of those places you miss as it's either first thing you walk by coming in, or last thing rushing out the park. Hidden gem possibly.
That's exactly right, Dan. You rush past it to get to stuff, and run out past it after walking 3 million steps. But it is a hidden gem - Folks always talk about the sit down restaurants, but somehow this one gets missed. And it's as good as a non-theme park restaurant for sure. I've had some very relaxing, air-conned, no-crowd, tasty meals there.
