Not sure where to put these odd bits Dan_Mol ? Beverly Hill Boulangerie closed todayI was never keen on that place but it was cute inside. Never had any decent food there, not sure how drinks and coffee were. Universal gets new lockersCharging for all but the small ones with varied free time. I like the change they made by The Mummy but FJ is still the worst spot in the park for lockers, somethang has to be done there. These new lockers can be found at Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Revenge of the Mummy, Men In Black: Alien Attack, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts and Dudley Do-Right’s Ripsaw Falls. Large lockers are $2 per rental and are recommended if you’re carrying anything more than a purse or small backpack. These lockers can fit large bags inside, as well as popcorn buckets and souvenir cups without having to empty out your theme park treats. The locker rentals are timed so you can keep your items stored as you make your way through each attraction’s queue. The locker system can also give you an extra cushion of time if your chosen ride’s wait time suddenly skyrockets while you’re in the queue. Put them where ever you feel best Bern, they can go here or start an updates etc.
Boulangerie was a large space, never utilised, good riddance!
New lockers at Universal are a bit of a pain, we had our Coke freestyle cup, just filled up at the coke area near MiB. Went to put the bag in a locker, my back pack just slid into the locker and it wasn't large, if I had my camera it wouldn't have fit. I had our park tickets inside the backpack, and they now use your ticket barcode rather than finger print, so end up having to carry this. Process is quicker than using the finger to register, but why charge. I suppose it's like Sea World and Busch Gardens, they all charge but it's $0.50 per time, maybe $1.00 now.
I downed most of my drink and watered the plants with some Mellow Yellow rather than paying $2 for a bigger locker.
If you end up renting a large locker at each of these areas, it'll almost be same as using the all day locker rental... travel light folks!

Okay boss. I have issue with the locker business, we rarely stay on site and even if we did, it's still back to the bus/boat and waiting to get to your hotel if you don't carry stuff in a backpack. I like to keep hand wipes with me, M's inhaler, women never have shorts with big enough pockets for phones and wallets and frankly bike shorts are the way to go for me. We have the popcorn bucket and that's a good snack and 99.999% of the time, we have the refillable cup. Water, water, water. Why sell them that size and then make the lockers smaller? Money. Dan's right, might as well run back to the front of the park and pay $10 for the day. It's terrific to walk around with no backback, we sometimes do that at night but we usually need something. M bought the little backpacks they sell in assorted areas around the park, the UO bag, it's actually pretty good but even though our stuff might fit in there, the cup will not then. As far as HHN tickets going up, as ChuckPlagmann mentioned, that's likely coming and Stranger Things was a cash cow for them last year, be a smart move on their part to bring it back. We cannot do the time that most everyone does during HHN, so paying a hefty price for the ticket and maybe express, they are competing as Disney is practically raising prices bi-annually it seems but really making it tight for the average family. Or, that's my thinking, hoards still show up. Debt or savings, who knows, not my business. I can only imagine the prices when the 4th park is finished. . .

Even with M’s small bag, it’s not allowed on rides, so yes may fit in a small locker but add water or cup and it’s out the question again. Strange move but a money maker so Universal win. 3rd park Merry McSparkles Grimes VB isn’t a park i’ll reserve my views on that for another time.

Dan_Mol Agreed, maybe not a 3rd park per se but still offered as a ticket option, the park to park thing. A 4 part ticket is going to be extortionate. Are they comparable, needing funds for construction/rising costs, being greedy or weeding out people? Who knows. Maybe all of them. I may do like I did last year, per Véro 's suggestion, and hit up the men's section for cargo pants. Then I'll be weighted down like DH lol but still, doesn't solve the water cup and occasional popcorn bucket. Bad enough they didn't bring back the free water at the Freestyle machines, that's some bullshit if you ask me. Water, hello, basic human need. DH has been saying at least 2 years in a row that we won't renew but then he did both times. We love it there but yeesh, it's adding up. That's with us offsite most of the time, too. The rewewal is such a good deal but if we can't make it down there enough, I'm not sure it's enough to make it worth it. A week down there, crikey I can hop overseas nearly. That's high on my list and one of them isn't going to happen, so. . . we shall see. I have fresh Guinnesses to consume and rocks and circles and old things to see!

Merry McSparkles Grimes I bought a pair of men's cargo shorts. I still ended up bringing a backpack. I like to bring water and Gatorade. I also like to have a small pack of Advil, Kleenex, etc. Maybe I just bring too much!

Beachesnsunsets The one time I don't bring something, someone will need it. I've relinquished to having some kind of pack because it's never that carefree for me, lol.

I usually put loose ibuprofen, and such, lip balm and tix/room key , phone and money in neck pouch. Then carry small sunblock stick in pocket for re-apply. I can get on everything I ride with this set-up. But last time I went, i brought a better rain poncho that wouldn’t fit in my pocket so I had to use a locker for my string bag (fit in free one). But I only. brought that on the day with major rain forecast - other days I threw caution to the wind which could have turned out badly😀
I have the kids use same neck pouch set up. They have to stow for some rides that don’t allow phines

The rumor is some type of "Today Show" theme... Looking like it sure is! I liked Boulangerie, but I only went in a handful of times. Be interested to see what makes this stand out, with it being Today Show themed!

Universal is hiring 2,500 jobs Full time, part time, season and professional opportunities. You can also go directly to Universal's job listings. I missed this but then I'm not on Twitter often anymore so I don't know if this was mentioned: Universal's Fantastic Worlds rumor. The document goes on to say that Universal’s “major competition” in the theme park industry (likely meaning Disney) has not had much “aggressive competition,” saying that Comcast will increase its investment in the parks over the next five years. At this point in the document, we get to the new details on Universal’s yet to be announced park, Universal’s Fantastic Worlds. The handout says, “This brand new theme park, titled Universal’s Fantastic Worlds, will turn the Universal Orlando Resort from a two-, or three-day travel destination to a week-long vacation destination. The Fantastic Worlds name signifies the many beloved ‘Worlds’ from all types of media that our guests want to step into, experience and explore, in a fully immersive way – from rides, to restaurants, shows, shops, and even restrooms.” The document then goes into new details that we’ve not heard rumored before, saying that the new park will be located “along Universal Boulevard and will be one of the largest parks we’ve built to date.” The next quote from the handout is easily the most exciting and revealing part of this entire leak. It reads, “Whilst our creative teams are still in the early stages of developing this new park, we can already reveal some more details besides just the name. The park will be designed in a ‘hub and spoke’ design, with a central icon and space, known as a ‘hub,’ allowing for easy way finding between the many immersive ‘Worlds.’ We assume the name brings them pause because of how similar it is to “Fantastic Beasts,” which is one of the rumored worlds in the new park. (The rumored “Worlds” are Super Nintendo World, Fantastic Beasts, DreamWorks, Jurassic World, and Universal Monsters.) Universal has a nekkid troll that toots glitter

Universal settles over dinosaur egg injuryUniversal Orlando has agreed to pay $75,000 into an annuity fund for a young girl who was injured by a mechanical arm on the Dinosaur Egg Scanner attraction at the theme park’s Jurassic Park land, according to public records. The girl, whose age was not disclosed, was struck on the chin in July 2013 by the device, according to the suit. Universal has battled the lawsuit since 2014, but eventually reached a settlement dated Feb. 11 and filed with Orange County courts. The settlement anticipates that payments to the fund will result in disbursement to the child — not her parents — of nearly $98,000 around 2027. The parents who sued are Yehuda and Kinga Malka. Their child is identified only as "L.M." in most of the documents. The Yehudas’ attorney said that suing Universal was the only equitable way to proceed, even though Universal didn’t manufacture the scanner machinery. The device was part of a display that offered display of fake dinosaur eggs "hatching," and visitors could pull a level to scan some of the eggs, which would result in a simulated scan image of a baby dinosaur on a screen. Universal argued that a third party was responsible, that the parents were made aware of potential risks involved, and that the device was somehow misused. Wonder what the injury was. . .

Here's some about the E.T. foot incident. . . . UUO Podcast/Alicia StellaTwo weeks ago a guest was injured on the ET Adventure ride at Universal Studios Florida. The incident occurred on January 31st, sometime in the early evening according to reports. The guest was transported to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital and treated for an injury to their foot. Not much about the incident itself is known publicly, and most of the information floating around is from social media. From sources that claim to have seen the incident report, there was a guest that was taken to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital on January 31st. They were then treated for a compound fracture. There was nothing mentioned about a severed foot in the report. This is not to discount the guest's injury, or any suffering that has likely incurred due to this terrible accident. But I wanted to clarify that the details that have been spoken about so far, may not have been entirely accurate. What we do know for sure, is that ET Adventure was in fact closed the following day and half after that date. A sign out front of the turnstiles said that the ride was down due to "preventative maintenance." A photo in an article by Theme Park University shows that. The ride has since re-opened, but with some minor changes to its operating procedures. The official Universal Orlando Twitter account even admitted that the ride was operating at limited capacity for the first couple days after re-opening. So, what were these changes in operation? There are namely two changes that I have noticed so far since experiencing the ride myself in recent weeks. First, only one side of load and unload is being utilized. Normally the ride utilizes a dual loading and unloading platform. I believe this change is to help all Team Members concentrate on one ride vehicle at a time. Second, Team Members are now stopping every ride vehicle just prior to pulling into the unload station. They are asking that everyone makes sure that all arms and legs are inside the vehicle, and making a visual check, before restarting the ride and allowing the vehicle to park into the unload area. I have also seen more Team Members stationed at unload than usual in recent weeks. I would like to note that Universal has not confirmed any of the details above. It may be another couple months or so before we learn any more details of the alleged incident, when the quarterly theme park injury reports are released to the public.
