Maybe anyone going can post their thoughts and photos here.
I'm happy for all of you that are looking forward to this but doughnuts are not my thang and I'm not overly keen on large ones gobbed with stuff but maybe that's the appeal for some. DH & my kiddo may want to try it but I don't think it's for me.

Not my thing, but husband and son will be drooling outside the window until they open in the morning when we're there next

The prices look surprisingly cheap. However, I don’t like too much sugar & I can only imagine what a sticky melted mess they would end up as in the August heat!

I took a little gander at their menu. As it turns out, they separate their donuts by type, haven't ever seen that before. I do like me a "cake" type donut, but most shops don't sell those. After reading their menu, I realized it's the "raised yeast" donuts I don't like I might be tempted by their plain cake or choc covered. I didn't note the prices though Rosie16 - I'll have to take a look. But you're right, I wouldn't be interested in August. Too hot for cake. Just ice please....And maybe really cold beer.

I got a chance to try the signature "Voodoo" doughnut. It wasn't bad. It's nothing mind-blowing and not worth the current 45 minute average wait that it is to get one, but overall not bad. It is a bit on the large end as well so if you get this one, I'd probably share it. I conquered it, but due to the sugar/sweetness, I didn't walk away without regret. There was a bit of an aesthetic satisfaction as well of having the jam ooze out while you're consuming the body of the doughnut. The one I had was day-old; while you can't argue what's essentially free, I can imagine they're a bit better fresh. My takeaway is that I'd wait a little bit before trying them. The waittime alone is a bit much for any doughnut.

Did anyone see that people got married at Voodoo Doughnuts recently?
I know it's a thing people do and I'm not trying to hate on Voodoo or "that other place that shant be named" or anything; I'm also a bit eccentric. I am. I do things. I do stuff and also thangs. This though? I mean, people also get married in Burger Kings and McDonalds' and other fast food joints, but that doesn't make it okay.
I mean, it's whatever. I'm happy for their happiness and wish them nothing but.
But seriously?

For instance, maybe they met there, or worked there when they met. Or were on line together and struck up a conversation that led to them being together. Or perhaps they just love donuts ............lol

I'm the same person that watched Comic Book Men's cosplay of the Richards' Wedding and greatly appreciated it. If I had my way, mine would be the Parkers' wedding cover but with Peter in Spider garb. So maybe I also don't have much room to judge either.... For reference:

We didn’t try but they look horribly thick and sugary. Saw plenty of people walking out of CityWalk with pink boxes.
