Rivers of Light, the new night time show officially opened at Animal Kingdom last week. 15 minute show on the river, with water projection, animal light figures, boats and dancers. It looks a fun and colourful display, hopefully it's not a show you see once and never again. The projections on the tree of life, look amazing. Should be some great night time photography.

Is Animal Kingdom much cop in general? We were thinking of putting it on our list of thangs to do on our next visit (as well as Disney Springs). However, after muchos YouTubing at the weekend I have to say that neither of us are particularly enamoured by it.

I like Animal Kingdom, has Everest which is a fun "coaster" the safari, now with Avatar it has possibly (in my opinion) the best ride in Orlando with Flight of Passage. It is also the most themed Disney park. If you haven't been it is well worth a visit, especially if you are buying multi day disney ticket.
Disney Springs is great also, we stay away from the new shopping area as better deals at the outlets, malls. But the original area and restaurants are excellent.

Expedition Everest is one of my favorite coasters in Orlando. It's a good time-- I'd actually put this one over Aerosmith's Rock n' Roller Coaster. I think the theme of Everest is better than that one fast shoot out of the tunnel on Rock N' Roller Coaster (although that's pretty awesome.) If you DO go, make sure you FastPass Flights of Passage. As Dan_Mol said, it's a FANTASTIC ride. However, when The Husband and I were there not even three weeks ago, the standby line was approx. 180-240 minutes. We stood in line for 45 with our FastPasses.
