Candy McIcicles I have other photos, still closer to dark but they are better and have all sides of the bridge. I just got in a bit ago and need to chill out but I will post them soon. I suspect it will be open most of this week because of the crowds. thanks Bern! So cool to be able to see a picture of this bridge that I have never seen before! Really cool! |

I don't think we will ever be there when it is busy enough for this bridge to be open (blessing and a curse? lol) but I will try to see it from the back of the Hog's Head next time we are there. Can you see the bridge from there? I assume you must be able to...

We knew when we went in November that we'd be on the edge of busy and thought it'd be okay but didn't think the BFF would break her foot lol And then Mardi Gras with Fall Out Boy was the final event that made us swear never to go again when it's busy. lol bah let me see if I can find one! |

YES. YES TO THIS.  But I do hope everyone gets a chance to pop over the bridge. It's nothing stellar walking over it but it certainly is nice.

I finally got to walk over this bridge - it was lovely and I was so happy for the chance. Trouble was, I was kinda zooming over it to get to the Castle show  . Went back next day, or later on, I forget, and it was closed. Odd that it was open during lower crowds, but I guess it was a way to get more folks into Hogsmeade area. |

Odd that it was open during lower crowds, but I guess it was a way to get more folks into Hogsmeade area. i think since they close the Jurassic Park entrance to Hogsmeade during the light show, they open it so people can still go around without going through Hogsmeade. |

When Hogsmeade is at capacity and they are no longer allowing entry, the bridge allows a way to get around the park.
During the light show, they close entry to Hogsmeade from Jurassic Park, (you can exit Hogsmeade into Jurassic Park, not enter) you must use the bridge to get to the Hogsmeade entrance by Hogwarts Express.
It happens everyday during the Christmas rush. And often during the summer rush.
With the light show becoming a daily event, I expect it will be open at least every evening.

I have a great picture of J on the bridge this year after the light show. It was the first time I remember ever being on the bridge before. Really great view.
