Hello All! I have recently heard about a bridge that is sometimes open as some sort of a cut through in IOA. It is on the Seuss side of the Castle. Daddyo posted a beautiful picture of the back of the Three Broomsticks from this bridge. I have never seen it - it is not always open. Just wondering if anyone knows if there is any rhyme or reason to its opening, because I would sure like to get on it!

Hey Kathy, the bridge only opens when the parks are extremely busy, for those wishing to bypass Hogsmeade. It is just passed Posideons Fury and takes you straight to Jurassic Park area.
Not 100% but believe it was built during the construction of Hogsmeade to bypass the area.

Thanks for the info Dan. But what is this utter nonsense about bypassing Hogsmeade? Is that really done? Hee hee!

I'll try to remember to take a photo of the doors and the location when I am down there next week.

Bypass Islands of Adventure via the train got a HP only day more like. That's pretty much what we did when we went to Diagon for the first time We actually never used the IOA entrance! This last time with just my daughter, we pretty much stayed in WWOHP too! I do love the other areas as well, of course. In Jurassic, for instance, I could not believe my eyes with that dinosaur! Unbelievable! Truth be told, I would definitely not venture to Orlando as much as we have these most recent years, if it had not been for Harry.

I find it strange, previous years before Hogsmeade I always turned left at City Walk for IOA. Hogsmeade made that a definite, but since Diagon Alley open its always been turn right.
Get the train, across and usually train back unless the wait is 15mins +

Our tradition used to always be FJ first but now we often head to USF for Mummy or Gringott's first. Use the HE, that's what it's for, right?

Thanks for the info Dan. But what is this utter nonsense about bypassing Hogsmeade? Is that really done? Hee hee! Oh a crowdy day, Hogsmeade makes me want to hide in a corner and rock back and forth lol That little bridge came very handy for us in November. My friend was in an ECV and going through Hogsmeade was hell.

Véro I have never been to the area when it's that crowded. Were you there near Thanksgiving when it was so bad in November? Must be really hard to maneuver an ECV then

It was the weekend just before thanksgiving and it got bad. And people really tend to ignore people in an ECV so it made moving around difficult. The little bridge was a blessing and we stood there for a while looking at Hogwarts.

Apologies for the poor quality, I will get another tomorrow in the day. Here is the bridge, open. It was past closing or I would've run over for a view. Daytime will be better. It's right next to the Fire Eaters Grill on the right. Attachment Deleted

Candy McIcicles I have other photos, still closer to dark but they are better and have all sides of the bridge. I just got in a bit ago and need to chill out but I will post them soon. I suspect it will be open most of this week because of the crowds.
