I think mine changed the other year after riding Falcons Fury. After being bit nervous about riding, turned out to be brilliant.
So many great rides at Busch, what's yours?

Can't help you a lot KristaI haven't been there is a while. I do think the festival is pretty good. And they have superior coasters to those in Orlando. Maybe MattLynch91 can comment.

Looking over stuff about Busch Gardens for our upcoming trip...seems they have a lot of closures without tearimg them down as "too expensive" according to some vloggers. The Jungala section rides and climbing thing is the most recent. Gawazii was closed a couple years ago now and still stands...hmmm...Still lots of animals though. Wondering if we should brave a Saturday or Sunday visit for the last weekend of their Food and Beer festival. I think All-American Rejects are playing on the 21st of April. We know some of their music but aren't really excited by most of the food offerings listed. Am I correct in assuming the second last weekend of the festival, and it being a weekend in general, will make it SUPER busy?? ChuckPlagmann Miss Duck Future Boy Anyone? Bueller?? Bueller?? I'm thinking that weekend would be best spent avoiding any of the parks and lounging at the condo...that seems like a waste of 2 days to me (not M though)... maybe that will be shopping/eating days... Sorry. We just don't enjoy Busch Gardens so I'm not able to help.

I must say, Krista , the closing without tearing down situation sounds dreadful. Maybe those vloggers have it wrong. Maybe just a timing thing. Cause if that were true, it would sound like the whole park would close due to financial difficulties.

I would highly recommend a trip to Busch Gardens, I love it! If you are a coaster fan, you will also! It's a quite beautiful looking park too, but it's not as themed as well as Universal/Disney. I think of it more of an amusement park, like a Six Flags if you will. I think the closures comment by vloggers is over the top and is them nitpicking a bit, to be honest. I can't see at all how it affects enjoyment at the park. Busch Gardens is home to a number of world class coasters and has the best collection of coasters in Florida. Montu, Sheikra and Cheetah Hunt are some of my favourite coasters. Plus I've never been on a theme park attraction as exhilarating as Falcons Fury, it really is quite literally breathtaking! ChuckPlagmann I completely agree with Chuck, they do have superior coasters to Orlando. Although I have to admit my favourite coaster in Florida is Mako at Sea World!? Sorry I can't help on the crowd levels at the event. Although I do know that Busch in general doesn't get Universal crowd levels. So even with the concert, it may be OK.

A little late in replying but I would tell you to still go for it. We don't go often to BG just due to it being a little over an hour's drive for us but as far as the closures go- while it wouldn't surprise me to know Gwazi's still kinda hanging around as a shadow of its former self, I've gone a few times since its closure in 2014 and aside from me crying over what was my favorite ride in BG, none of their closed rides impeded on our experience. To that end, the vloggers were probably doing what vloggers do and nitpicking wherever they could nitpick and honestly, everyone's a critic.
Concerning crowds, I would just go. Honestly, like everyone else is saying, while BG can get a little hectic, they don't ever reach UO/WDW crowds. Just use the age-old strategy of getting there when the park opens and making the most of your day as you can.
Some Must-Hits:
Sheikra
Falcon's Fury
Cheetah Hunt
We were able to give Corba's Curse another chance last July. While I will say it was better than my initial ride, and the queue line is pretty well executed, I would still skip it and put that extra time you'll have to seeing some animals and/or the show that day.
