From what I'm seeing posted on Twitter it's a brilliant ride with lots of air time as predicted.

The more I hear about it, it's probably a no for me. No shoulder restraints is a deal-breaker. I don't like feeling like I am flying out of my seat, which is why I click the lap bar on Mummy down as far as I can.

I always like that last click, too but don't worry much with it on The Mummy (but still usually try). Now Mako, for something that high and that fast, no for me as well. I wouldn't like not being held back with some kind of harness or strap or bar over the shoulder or chest area.

Got to ride it yesterday. The lap bar they use is pretty secure and adds to the coolness of the ride. The ride never actually goes upside-down so there's no worries on that end. I enjoyed it for the most part, my only actual critique of it is that it didn't seem all that fast to me. It felt more like 40 or 50 as opposed to its boasted 75mph. I know that's actually just taken at its fastest point at the drop but it just didn't feel like it the entire time, which ended up being a bit of a let-down.
Since this is a similar car to Hulk, I'm hoping this isn't telling me that it's going to be the same. Aside from that though, it was cool. The intro hill isn't quite HRRR status of putting you on your back, but it is pretty high up and since it's right next to Kraken you get a quick comparison of what you're getting into(50ft and 10 mph difference btw). There are a few very brief moments of "weightless-ness" during the ride(3 if I recall) and the U Swerve it does is a cool effect.
Kobra's Kurse is next on the agenda.

From what I hear Hulk will not have this type of restraint so it should be a different ride and CC is a different beast altogether.

Hulk has shoulder restraints and it has some twists and such to keep us entertained. I haven't been to the parks to check out their testing phase and see the ride in action since Youtube can only show me so much, but what my concern would be is maintaining the speed during the ride or at least the feeling that you're going fast, which to me, Mako didn't do. We sat in the back and after the beginning, Mako felt more like a fun cruise down an empty road at the end of a big hill with some cool tricks at the turns, whereas most of us know how Hulk is. So I suppose that was my big (and granted, only actual) critique for it and why I honestly put it at just above HRRR in my scale of coasters. CC just opened today so I'll be making my way over relatively soon to check it out.

My front row POV of Mako...
I absolutely loved Mako, perfectly straight lines over the hills, maximise those forces!
That second hill, on back row I was out my seat the whole way over.
Difference between front and back row was huge!

I actually quite fancy this. We are planning a seaworld day, Marty is excited about the shark area. In April you "quite fancy" Mako. So what happened?

I freaking LOVED Mako! No one in my party was willing to brave it with me, but the day we went, it was a walk-on attraction, so I couldn't pass it up!
I was in the very back with a family of three-- a 10 year old and his parents. I asked the 10 year old if the ride was going to take us upside down. He said yes, and I said, "Uh-oh. I get really sick when I go upside down!" While he panicked, I winked at his parents, who laughed hysterically. Then I told him, "No, I won't vomit, dude. But I may scream."
Scream I did. Scream I did.
I doubt we'll ever go to SeaWorld again for a lot of reasons I won't get into here, but I'm glad I got the chance to ride this one!
