My Universal PhotosNot sure where to put this, as it really relates to both parks! I've always wondered why you don't get an on-ride photo on Spiderman. The First time I went on it I assumed that when Spidey takes a photo that it was a photo op and spent ages wandering around the gift shop looking for somewhere to pick the photo up! Doh! Anyhoo it seems that they are now doing it, though its pretty rubbish tbh. Ive also read that the Simpsons couch gag photo op, which is probably my favourite out of all the photo ops has gone. Does anyone know if that's the case?

When we were there in Feb & April, the couch gag photo op was gone, I believe there is a carnival type game there. I'll check when we are there in July.

I like the idea of a photo but that is lame. I have a cool pic of me and Tina from September with Spidey, although he's often not there in the ride photo op as opposed to outside running about. The guy had me laughing so hard though, completely did not expect that. +1 Spidey.

Hopefully there will be the option to edit it and play about with it online with the Stars Cards like there is with some of the other photo ops.

One thing that I love about PhotoConnect is the ability to edit your photos and add borders, decals, zoom in and out etc. For some reason they do not seem to tell folk that you can do this.
I ahem copied this from a post I did in the other place
I spoke to a really helpful lady at photoconnect today.
She explained that they will generally just put frames on the green screen photos (ie Spiderman etc) and you just apply them to the others yourself. I said that i couldn't find any functionality on the app for this and she explained that you had to log into the full site to do it.
she then gave me a demo on screen.
Click on the photo you want to edit. Click on Prints under Choose a Product. Click on a print size eg 6 x 4 print. It will then let you add overlays, with a choice of frames and decals to choose from. It cleverly knows where you had the photo taken and gives you appropriate choices eg zombie decals for photos taken at HHN.
you can change the brightness, zoom in, zoom out etc.
Choose download and voila, one edited photo. Wooo! This is gonna give me hours of fun.
ive also managed to delete the photos of random strangers from my account.

Now I don't have to waste a bunch of time at the end of each night I'm there going to the photo counter, and I enjoy editing my photos so this will be a fun way to deal with the Orlando Blues when I'm home!

It gives different frame options for some of the rides too and also the Jurassic Park selfie
This has kept me amused for hours on end! Ive still got loads to edit from last year.

In your professional opinions, for both UOR and WDW, are the photo packages worth the price? How many photos will they take for you? Are ride photos included? (That autocorrected to "rude photos"... I mean...that, too, really.)

allyface I can't speak for the Disney package, but I would definitely say yes to the Photoconnect package at Universal. We have built up quite a collection of photos. Usually the professional photographers will take about 3 or 4 photos when you ask them and all the ride photos are included. There are also various spots round the park where you can take selfie- there are plaques with QR codes on them that allow you to add frames to your photos and there is also the rather fabulous Jurassic Park selfie station. There are also various meet n greets eg Spiderman and the brilliant Raptor Encounter. If you factor in that you can play about with your photos and add frames etc using the official site as well I think it's still worth it.

allyface depends how long you are at each park. Disney were (possibly still are) including "memory maker" with their multi day ticket. Disney have many more photographers around the parks, for more photo opportunities. Never had the package as we tend to only visit Disney once per trip. Universal's Photo Connect is brilliant, getting quite pricey now compared with previous years. Lots of options the raptor encounter being the best. Don't need the package to have photos but nice to have. Ride photos are the big plus, pulling poses on Mummy are now a pre requisite for Uni trips. Only thing they have a lack of photographers around the park. Globe, entrances, meet and greets, sometimes Hogsmeade bridge.

I finally logged into my account online. I am going to have fun adding borders!
Do they notify you when it's time to renew the account? Or do you just start a new account?
